I remember during culinary school and various restaurants and kale was a garnish.  In fact, you put an orange slice on it to dress it up.  But, oh my, kale chips are “tee”rrific!  They are also quite easy to make.  I never would have thought that my son would find kale chips to be so tasty, but check out the video – it’s proof.

Simple Kale Chips

Ingredients

  1. 1 head of kale, chopped into 3″ wide pieces, stems removed
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix kale with olive oil and lay flat on aluminum pan and sprinkle with sea salt.
  2. Bake until kale is crispy but not burnt about 10 minutes.
